The correct seal kit is not identified the same way for every excavator brand. CAT and Komatsu applications normally begin with machine and parts-catalogue data. SANY and XCMG applications often require the complete cylinder stamping because one model may use cylinders from different suppliers.
Choose the correct verification path
1. Catalogue and serial-number verification
Common brands: Caterpillar, Komatsu, Hitachi, Volvo, John Deere, Kobelco, Sumitomo, Link-Belt, Hyundai, Doosan/DEVELON, CASE, New Holland, JCB, Liebherr, Kubota, Takeuchi, Bobcat and Yanmar.
Start with the full machine model, serial number or PIN, cylinder position and cylinder assembly reference. Use photographs to confirm the unit currently installed.
2. Cylinder-stamping and supplier verification
Common brands: SANY, XCMG and selected LiuGong, SDLG, Shantui, Zoomlion, Sunward and Lovol applications.
Send the complete cylinder stamping, not a partial number. The marking can identify the cylinder manufacturer, position, structural revision and sealing configuration.
3. Physical verification
Use this route when the cylinder was replaced or rebuilt, or when its marking is unreadable. Confirm the installed cylinder with photographs and, after disassembly only, controlled dimensional measurements.
Brand-specific identification
CAT
Provide the complete model, full serial number including its prefix, cylinder position and, when available, the CAT cylinder group or assembly number. The serial prefix and range identify the correct catalogue configuration. Cylinder markings and photographs confirm the assembly currently installed.
Komatsu
Provide the full model and dash series, such as PC200-7 rather than only PC200, followed by the machine serial number, cylinder position and assembly reference. Komatsu parts data separate machine generations and some serial-number breaks.
Hitachi and John Deere
Provide the complete series designation, such as EX or ZX for Hitachi, together with the machine serial number, cylinder position and cylinder part number. An abbreviated model is not enough when multiple generations, market versions or cylinder assemblies exist.
Volvo
Provide the full model including its generation suffix, product or serial number, cylinder position and cylinder assembly reference. Keep the series suffix and production-range information visible.
Kobelco, Sumitomo and Link-Belt
Provide the full model and generation, machine serial number, cylinder position and every visible reference. Similar models or related-market machines must not be treated as interchangeable until the assembly number has been cross-checked.
Hyundai and Doosan/Daewoo/DEVELON
Provide the full model, series suffix, machine serial number, cylinder position and cylinder assembly number. Include both legacy and current brand designations when they appear in the records or on the machine.
CASE, New Holland, JCB, Liebherr, Kubota, Takeuchi, Bobcat and Yanmar
Begin with the complete model, serial number or PIN, cylinder function and assembly reference. Include photographs of the machine plate and cylinder marking to confirm production variants or previous replacements.
SANY
Photograph the complete stamped line on the cylinder. JSY or JSYG generally identifies a Jiangsu Hengli family; ZX is associated with earlier SANY Zhongxing series; newer series may use a marking beginning with W. Every final character must remain readable.
XCMG
Do not confuse an XCMG/Xuzhou Hydraulic Cylinder reference with a Hengli-supplied XG-series cylinder. XCMG assemblies may carry references beginning with 8030 or 91030; Hengli-supplied cylinders may carry an XG reference and an H-prefixed manufacturing number. On some Hengli references, DB identifies boom, DG stick and CD bucket.
LiuGong, SDLG, Shantui, Zoomlion, Sunward and Lovol
Send the complete model, machine serial number, cylinder position and clear photographs of every marking. When catalogue data do not produce one unique result, POWERSOON cross-checks cylinder manufacturer, full reference, construction and dimensions before proposing a kit.
If the cylinder has been replaced or rebuilt
The machine serial number describes the original configuration; it does not always prove which cylinder is installed today. Send:
- a clear photograph of the machine identification plate;
- a full view of the installed cylinder;
- close-ups of every tag, engraving and stamped line;
- the exact position: boom, stick, bucket, blade, offset, variable boom or attachment;
- after disassembly only, the bore, rod diameter and removed-seal dimensions if no usable reference remains.
Dimensional matching is a final verification route. Measurements must be taken with suitable instruments and must not be estimated visually.
